The second, and more challenging half, will be when we finally get a modern arena. It doesn't have to be bigger, but as someone said in another thread, we look like an A-10 team (at best) in those digs. And you better believe recruits, as well as any future coaching candidates, notice. It really blows my mind to think about the massive changes to Lane since the 1960's, while Cassell is not all that different from when it was built. Duke can get away with playing in an antiquated facility, because Dook is Dook. Everyone else in our league has a much newer arena (or completely refurbished in Clem's case) and that definitely makes a statement about basketball culture in Blacksburg.
