Our success last year seemed to hinge on two transfers (LeDay and Allen) taking over games in the final minutes. This year, we ostensibly have more talent on the floor at all times, but we don't have that "refuse to lose" mentality any more, and we lack intensity on defense (the other big indicator of on-floor leadership). The players Buzz recruited out of high school often look like they're just 'going through the motions', instead of willing to the team to victory like LeDay and Allen used to.

Everyone focuses on our lack of size, but I see small teams all over the country driving to the basket and pulling down tough rebounds. Size helps in those situations, but what really helps is determination.
