The best thing that ever happened to Khadim Sy was to have to sit a year

I watched his highlights and they were a little more wooden than I remembered. He's a project and he will be more helpful as a 23 year old than a 22 year old. You gotta take the long view on Sy.

It's also helped the legend of Khadim Sy as I have seen people on this board say 'we would have won ___ game with Sy.' The longer he sits out, the better he becomes in some peoples mind.

Third, Buzz never played Sy with LeDay last year. I would doubt we would see KJB with Sy....but last night, I saw something I hadn't seen before: Clarke and KJB playing together and KJB was on the wing, Clarke in the post. I think that's because it makes the most use of CC's offensive abilities, passing out of the post, than it says something about KJB on the perimeter. And Sy will never have CC passing skills. But it was an interesting turn, to have KJB on the court essentially as the 4.

I'm glad to have Sy back, he's better than anyone else we could have expected to get this spring. But his scope is limited, he's used to start games (I guess Buzz really values that opening tip), give us 10 mpg backing up the 5 and battling a big guy every once in a while. He's a complementary player.
