My observations from the Miami game. First I support Buzz and his decisions
as he knows who is playing up to their potential and who is not. That being said, I think that Buzz picked a bad day to teach Blackshear a lesson. The lack of height inside altering shots and the lack of a big body blocking out on rebounds hurt too. Lawrence, a long 6-7 player hit a couple of late lane jumpers shooting over 6-5 arms instead of 6-10 arms. Numerous offensive rebounds were garnered by the Canes tipping balls away from behind shorter rebounders. A 15 minute Blackshear outing is curious given what Med accomplished with 26 minutes. I love the effort that Horne showed but 6-5 (or 6-4), is what it is. To me, whoever allowed #1 to drive for three straight layups early in the game to set the tone for the day got bonus time, as well.
