I have wanted to post this for a while now and was even planning to do it after a loss. But I've been watching college hoops all day, and i can't help but post an overwhelming sentiment I have. And it's this -- We are so freaking lucky to have Buzz Williams as our head coach. It's so much fun watching his style of play, these players and what they are doing and being in the NCAA tourney discussion now...and its even more fun watching what Buzz is building here at Va Tech...from the players he's recruiting to the culture he has instilled. I'm telling you..we don't know how lucky we have it in having a coach like him. And here's an even bigger statement. I truly believe that if Buzz stays here at Va. Tech he can create something very very special here that will last for a long long time. I really believe it could rival what Coach K has built at Duke over the years. Buzz could take a similar path. One at Duke that started from zero and essentially was built into a powerhouse. If not quite like Coach K, i think he could closely rival it....I don't care what happens the rest of this season and whether or not we make the NCAA or not, i will still feel this way. (i do think we make it in this year by the way). I've been following VT sports and VT basketball for over 40 years now and i've NEVER been this excited about a basketball program and a top notch person and coach we have.....
