Clarke has seemed "off" recently.
Not sure if it's a hangover from the sideline "interaction" he had with Buzz a few games ago, or if it's physical- perhaps his knee has been giving him more problems than the team is willing to disclose publicly. But the last time the "real" CC showed up was the ND game. When I think of Clarke, I think of a Rodman-type rebounder, a guy who cleans the glass on the defensive end and goes coast to coast, a guy so quick off his jump that he gets a lot of putbacks on his own misses. Lately, not many of those things have shown up. CC also looks oddly passive when he's playing at the top of the key- not making the usual great assists we've come to expect from him, and he rarely turns, faces the hoop, and takes his defender strong to the rim.
As much as people have been focusing on Hill's lack of production, and our overall recent inconsistency from 3, one of the hidden stories of the latter part of the season is that Clarke is just not as explosive as he was earlier in the year.
