Vick himself said Jackson is 5 times the player he was at VT
And he confirmed that again 2 days ago. VT fans can conjecture all they want, but the bottom line is they're very similar players and Jackson is for sure a more developed passer. Vick obviously was the first of his kind, and the maroon tinted glasses will never be stronger for any fan than they are looking back on the '99 season. Of course Vick has reach mythical status as the greatest college QB ever for us.
Vick threw an average of 15 passes a game for 172 yards during the '99 season and averaged 5.5 YPC over his career in a run oriented offense. Jackson's numbers on both fronts are better against at least level competition, so saying he's running ability isn't in the same league is ridiculous.
