Why I’m more confident than past years we won’t be snubbed

Assuming we don’t lose to 15 seed Pitt as #10 even if we lose the next 2; posted this on sub board but thought I’d bring it here

I’m as skeptical as anyone re: VT & last snubs but here goes

I admit maybe I’m drinking the “RPI doesn’t mean as much” kool-aid, but here are major differences vs our past snubs (forgive the lack of exact detail, don’t have time to look up exact stuff but CC has detailed this in the past)
- OOC schedule being bad is about the ONLY common denominator between this team and other past snubs, BUT KSU is listed IN the tourney with an RPI just above us or just below us (we’re 57 in ESPN, 59 in NCAA & liveRPI, 61 in RealTime RPI, KSU right next to us) they have 324 OOC schedule, ours at 325, same record, BUT our trump card? They have 2 top 50 Ws, best one is #19 TCU; we have THREE in the top 10 better than that
- we have 4-5 top 50 Ws (UW questionable at 51 but they have 2 home games left, in past years’ snubs we’ve had 1-2
-also in years we’ve had 10 ACC Ws, we’ve only had 1-2 vs top half of ACC and we’d played bottom teams home and home and wracked up Ws vs bottom 5. Guess how many Ws we have vs the bottom 5 this year? 5, because we’ve played NONE of those teams 2x
- IN conference schedule strength is a criteria, ours is #1 or #2 depending on where you look, not just in ACC, in the NATION because we have 6 games vs top 10 RPI teams (btw we’ll be 3-3 at worst if we lose to Duke); that’s 1/3 of our conference schedule vs top 10 National RPI teams; also we have 12 of 18 conference games in top 50! Currently we’re 4-6 with 2 left
-We have 6 TRUE ROAD Ws vs P5 competition, 1 neutral: double the number of Ws we had away from Cassell in some snub years
-trump card: unarguably THE best W by the metrics in the country: road W vs UVA
- ZERO losses to sub 140 RPI; zero losses to teams under .500 record
