That regardless of the Hokies being able to finish as high as 3rd in the conference behind Virginia and Duke. Having wins against Virginia, Duke, UNC, Clemson, NC State. That we get absolutely NO LOVE. Following the duke win the following day on SportsCenter, Around the Horn, and PTI. It wasn't a headline about us. It was a lot of "Maybe Duke isn't that good" "Are they worse with Bagley". The only recognition from any media they next day was that Buzz spoke to the students over the PA. REALLY?! We are not the biggest, fastest, or most talented. We don't have Player of the Year candidates. I can tell you what we do have though. A coaching staff, roster, and fan base with more heart and hustle than the opponents.

I can tell you another thing is that I would take 5 over any player in the country. That is a guy that come around this time next year we are going to be sad to see him checking out on Senior night.

I am not going to set expectations for March as we enter Win or go home basketball. This team may go in and lose first round of each tournament, we don't know for sure. But I wouldn't want to be an opposing coaching staff and see Virginia Tech on the line next to mine. This is not a team that ANY BODY wants to play whether we get the recognition or not.
