We were a consensus 8 going into today, but not like a unanimous 8. If the committee's consensus looks more like the people who had us as a 10 or 11 going into today, then we would be squarely in coin flip territory with a loss to ND next week.

So the real question is: what are the chances the committee's consensus looks more like the low end of the national bracketology consensus? Maybe not high, but I bet it's at least 5%.

Having said all that...somebody has to get in and 4 of those somebodies have to be the poor bastards that go to Dayton. And when you look at the list of teams that would have to rise up and take our place (either pushing us down to First 4 territory or out altogether)...I will concede that it's an uninspiring list.
