to pay taxes. By his math, he had to skimp by on about $20 mil. It must have been tough living in a cardboard box under the highway.

All kidding aside, I do see how some athletes don't appropriately consider the impact of taxes on their spending. It may seem like an infinite amount of money - until it's not.
