I've read every book I could find and watched every series out there about the cocaine history of Colombia and South Florida. Medellin saw an insane level of terrorism, possibly more than any city in history. It had to be a living hell for anyone that lived there. The fact that they mention political assassinations are commonplace is enough to make me rule it out. That's a weeeee bit lax in security for my tastes. And with the history, you have to wonder if the whole place could go back to hell in an instant.
