I coach youth wrestling in Florida. Lived here for 14 years but from Virginia. Everything is up and coming. Almost as many NCAA qualifiers as Virginia high schools produce. There is no major college wrestling here.... closest d1 program is most likely the citadel... or U of chatt. our wrestling tradition comes mostly from Midwest and northeast transplants. In other states it goes back 3or 4 generations... that said Florida does produce quality wrestlers... I think coach frayer is from Florida. Lake highland finished number 2 to Blair academy a few years ago. UCf club team was national champs last year and number 3 this year. Popularity is growing ... we need some NCAA d1 2 3 wrestling down here.
