Re: What happened to Hoos baseball?
Unfortunately, it would be foolish to celebrate the demise in Hooterville as being long-term. They lost 6 players from last year's team to the draft, including two top-10 picks in Pavin Smith and Adam Hasely.
They have also had a significant amount of key injuries this year, which is part of the give-and-take in college baseball that no team is immune from, ourselves included.
Facilities-wise, they have made improvements to one of the best stadiums around.
Bottom line - let's enjoy their downturn this season and as well as Coach Szefc and his staff as they retool/rebuild our program into a competitive one with a state-of-the-art facility. Those things, in addition to the Virginia Tech educational community, have us headed in the right direction! [Post edited by Proud 2 B Hokie at 04/07/2018 7:19PM]
