Golf is about as competitive as anything in the world.
He has had a lot of major surgeries.
It is reasonable to assume he can never overcome this, as he is only getting older. He is not a kid anymore, and the body slows down the healing process with age.
Even if he did become great again, I don’t see why he wouldn’t sustain yet another major injury. He still swing very hard and puts a lot of stress on his body.
He is toast imho.
