my son to a specialist after he'd broken a bone in his foot. We had a 2:00 appointment and when we got there we were told they were behind schedule and it might be about 45 minutes. That was frustrating, but 45 minutes isn't too bad. We waited.

TWO HOURS LATER we were finally called back. When the doctor came in I told him that I understand being backed up, but if the wait were actually two hours, I would have appreciated being notified ahead of time that I didn't need to actually be there until 3:30 to 4:00. That's two more hours I could have been at work. The doctor said, "would you excuse me for a moment?"

He left the room and then we heard him EXPLODE at the staff. I mean he cursed them up one side and down the other. I hope they got their act together. That happened to be the last time we needed to go see him, so I don't know.
