Agree. I was going to email Will to see if one of the experinced posters
on this board could be recruited to provide VT wrestling articles to help drum up more interest and support ($$) for our fantastic wrestling program. A lot of VT fans that visit this site likely don't know much about wrestling & how strong nationally the VT wrestling program has become, and thus are not as engaged as they might otherwise be. A few years ago, I did not know much about VT wrestling, but I read an article on the program here on Techsideline regarding the upcoming NCAA tournament. From there started to follow the team more closely thru the Wrestling Board. The experienced posters on the board are very knowledgeable and generally open to sharing/educating new VT fans. We have a great coaching staff, SERTC, and a consistently Top 10 nationally ranked team. Techsideline is a excellent venue to cultivate & bring new VT wrestling fans into the fold, and more VT wrestling articles on the home page could help draw more people to the program. Thanks to the knowledgeable posters & community on this board, I went from not knowing much about VT wrestling, to being hooked and following or watching as many VT match or tournaments as possible, and I just increased my donation up to Silver level thru the Techsideline Donor a Day link. I'm not sure what kinda budget is needed to pay a feature writer for wrestling, but maybe one or a couple wrestling board posters can help Techsideline increase awareness and interest in the Wrestling program by providing some more knowledgeable articles on the team, big tournaments, recruiting etc.
