Think of cricket as baseball played in an oval with only 2 bases


home and second base. Like baseball, the object is to score more runs (wickets) than your opponent before the 11 batters are called out, the team captain decides enough wickets have been scored, or the opposing team has reached the limit on the number of pitches (deliveries).

It took me a little time to understand the game and the various strategies teams use to play the game. I am still learning about the various formats used to play the game and how to distinguish them. I do understand why people may dislike the game though.
