wondering, in the six years I coached a local club ball team, we won multiple state championships, and finished in the top 5 of two national events. 5 of my 12 core players ended up with D1 scholarships, and another 2 more with D2 schollies. This was not a national showcase team, either, just a local team with players from the immediate surrounding area. I learned hitting from Mickey Dean, currently head coach at Auburn. I am still currently my daughter's hitting coach and she hit .359 in her first year as a D1 starter this spring. So, I do know a little bit about the game of fastpitch softball, and what it takes to be a winning coach. Scot Thomas does not have what it takes. [Post edited by BowlingHokie at 05/06/2018 6:50PM]
