The media covers stories that maximize their profits.
They cover what their readers want to consume. For the mainstream, that is typically down the middle of popular interest. MSNBC/Fox segment the market to only carry a side of the story that their market segment cares out. PBS/BBC tend to go deeper into International coverage.
Thanks for informing us about the ISIS raid, sounds like good news. Do we think it will make a difference? I've been getting some good coverage of ISIS from Vice on HBO, they cover ISIS in depth. I find myself depressed after watching their shows though, I don't see any victories on the horizon. Seems to be a never ending supply of news leaders of the movement ready to replace the old ones.
