Took a month to get there. Home (SW VA), to Minneapolis to see good bud, then to the Badlands State (National?) Park, then stayed several days at the AF base in Rapid City, where I took day trips to Rushmore, Deadwood, Strugis, etc., then Yellowstone where I camped several days, then down through the Grand Tetons.

Next segment I decided to see some of the western ski resorts, so down to Jackson Hole. Headed to Logan Utah for day or two in a hotel, get the oil changed on the truck, etc. Down to SLC, headed east to Park City to bum around for the afternoon, then continue east & camped at a park off the interstate. Then lunch in Cheyenne, then south to Fort Collins to hang out for a couple days. Down to Denver, then west to visit Vale, then Aspen, then some town on the other side of the Continental Divide. Next day off to Vegas where I ran into more friends. From there, it was off to San Diego.

My return to the east coast was a lot of fun too, but it was in the winter so I needed to ski my way back. I hit Mammoth, Northstar at Tahoe, then Murray, UT where I hit all four resorts in the Big & Little Cottonwood canyons. On my way out of town, decided to hit the Park City resort to get that check in the box. The rest of my trip back was just a straight drive back to VA, before heading south to Miami for my next assignment.
