2018 was a memorable season with the most conference wins (5 regular season and 1 ACCWLT), most regular season wins, highest finish in the program's history (3rd place), first ACCWLT win, first NCAA appearance, first NCAA tournament win, and highest RPI and rankings in the program's history.

A few years ago, I was about to give up following the program after another winless ACC season, but Whit Babcock finally made the investment that Tech never made before in hiring John Sung. In two short years, Sung has transformed our women's lacrosse program. We're no longer the team that everyone else considers an automatic win on their schedule. Tech women's lacrosse now commands respect. As John Sung as stated numerous times, the program still has room to grow. He has turned things around. We have the hardest working team in the ACC. John Sung will continue to bring in more talent. Eventually, the hard work plus the increased talent will result in even more memorable seasons. As many have posted on here all spring, our future is bright. Kudos to John Sung and his staff, all the players, and to Whit Babcock for taking women's lacrosse seriously.
