Thats the real reality. A playoff year is a 11-1 or 12-1 regular season. VT getting there at 11-2 would be a stretch. 10-2 out if the question. When was our last 1 loss season?

We've been waiting for the last 20 years for the program to move to that next level and sustain itself on its brand, and it hasnt happened. Instead, the program has continued to be largely reliant on Bud Foster pulling top 20 defenses out of his rear end every year. That model is unsustainable because the magician is not immortal.

Playoffs? Sorry I disagree. A top 4 team every 4-5 years? How many times have we finished a season in the top 4? Twice? Once?

We should expect to contend for an ACC championship every 4-5 years.
