Yes and no. starting with Generation X


we were told you have to go to college, doesn't matter in what but go to college. Because the stat at the time was a college grad compared to a high school grad averaged over a million dollars in additional earnings over their comparable lifetimes.

So colleges started providing degrees in everything. Look at some of the degrees VT has to offer and I am sure you will be scratching your head. I believe demand is outstripping supply and the only way to reduce demand is either increase supply OR increase cost. Colleges are increasing cost.

See my post above, parents and kids need to be smarter about which college they are choosing and has MrBayAreaHokie stated determine what the actual ROI is going to be. The guy in the article is basically going to pay for the rest of his life to go to a prestigious school worth it vs going to say VCU? Guessing not.
