Writers didn't leave themselves anywhere to go.


They had some big revelations during S1, appear to have painted the plot into a corner. I read that the writers felt S1 was a necessity to get to the good stuff, that doesn't appear to be the case. When there is no lasting impact on the plot based on someone being murdered it gets dull.
