Talk radio does it, too. I've spent entire commutes without hearing...

...any of the show on the air at that time. I'm talking about 20+ minutes of commercials interrupted by several news/traffic briefs, with maybe a 10-second "teaser" from the show's host about the upcoming discussion topics.
