Loved "Kitchen Confidential" when it came out...


Funny, self-effacing, revealing about the industry: learned a few things. I could take or leave the rest of his career (don't take that wrong, I just didn't have cable) but one of those grate book moments. He would not seem like the guy who'd kill himself but file that under "ya never know."

Sorry to hear that, one of those guys out there in the world who seemed like your buddy, if you ever ran into him you'd hit it off and talk for an hour.
