I put snap on ones like this in myself. They go for 50 cents a foot or so,


and work fine. You might need to pull the one off by the downspout every year (or more, maybe ever?) and clean it out, or if a storm messes with them and leaves a gap. Anything getting through that screen won't clog anything, though. Those fancy, schmansy ones you see on TV, that supposedly roll the water in and the leaves off? I can't say if they are worth it or not, or even how much they are. Gotta be pricey.

You could compromise and get the pros to do the top story, and put the cheapos on the first floor.
