A different approach.

I'm 62. My cousin just turned 75. I have known him all my life. We were neighbors. He has CP. I remember my parents saying they thanked God that they had him. Because they knew he was blessed and that they would care for him. So we all felt that way.

20 years ago, my niece had a baby with CP. HE's been in a chair his entire life. Because of our families' first experience, we all took that approach for the second child.

When I built my house 19 years ago, I made sure it was accessible (ramp, bathrooms, crank windows, etc) for them. I didn't want to entertain where they couldn't get around. (BTW, I use that ramp for loading and unloading things all the time. I'd never build another house without one.)
