If you went into this movie looking for a cinematic masterpiece, you need to change your perceptions. It's a family movie, which is SUPER rare these days, and they killed it for both adults and kids. The parenting stuff was hilarious and absolutely true for myself right now. As for the kids, both of mine enjoyed it, though my oldest didn't like a few of the scary parts. However, she doesn't like certain parts in most movies, so I wasn't surprised.
