I live and work in Fort Worth --> More inside

With the traffic, it's important to live and work close together. Freeway/Tollway traffic can get really bad. Surface streets are not as bad, but can be a hassle if you're going very far. Fort Worth has a smaller town feel and is definitely more laid back than Dallas, but Dallas has slightly better cultural and social opportunities. I've found that Fort Worth has enough for me, but I'm not a social butterfly. Fort Worth has good bicycle trails along the Trinity River. Dallas has some good trails as well, but not as extensive as Fort Worth. If you like lake boating/activities, Dallas has more opportunities. The big thing for me is to live close to work.
