Random question - how old is the house?

I've noticed modern homes tend to be built around the concept of working AC. All the tricks they used before about the 1950's to keep buildings cool (shade trees, high ceilings, windows on opposing walls, open floor plans, awnings and porches) got phased out over the next few decades.

Without AC, a home built in the 1920's is probably 10-15 degrees cooler inside than out. But a home built in the 1990's with broken AC can easily be 10 degrees warmer than outside.
