So how does one test drive an unregistered vehicle?


The car thing isn't happening today, which means it probably won't happen at all since I'm hitting the road for da beach in the predawn hours.

But here is the dilemma...how can you test drive a vehicle or take it to a shop for an independent inspection if it's not currently registered? Does Va law make some sort of exemption for this? Finding a trailer and hauling it seems more trouble than its worth. I've seen folks take valid plates off of one ride and slap them on, but I know that's illegal as hell. What to do?
