If that chain of events is correct, then calling the cops makes

it sound like he might have bitten off more than he can chew. I have seen several pickup games where 1 person thinks he is the "alpha" or "bully" on the court and tries to play like one. Until he crosses paths with a bigger "alpha" who quickly puts him back into his place. All the incidents I have seen have that 1 person storm off the court because he is pouting about not getting his way. I can't say if that is what is going on here, but it kinda sounded like that may be (partially) the case.

It still doesn't justify calling the cops right away because it makes him look like an even bigger pouter.
