I'm a lefty and I write right-handed (but hold the pen/pencil like a lefty)


because my step-grandfather "converted" me. He was from that old school religious generation where people thought that writing left-handed was a gift from Satan (or something like that). I play sports and eat left-handed which means there are only certain places I can sit at the table. Sometimes I will use my right hand to drink, but typically only when I have two glasses with fluids in them (i.e. iced tea and water). I use a mouse with my right hand. As far as using scissors, tools, and doing odd jobs around the house, I tend to use my left hand for those. Over the years I have learned to use my right hand, but I am not as efficient and I will only do it if I can position myself to use my left hand.
