My dad's name "changed" when he got to VT


because no one could pronounce it right. And when you are a freshman in the Corps in the late 50's, you don't get to correct anyone who mispronounces your name.

To this day, people who knew him as a kid pronounce his name one way, people who didn't meet him until after his first day at VPI pronounce it another.
