When I visited my grandparents all they drank was instant black. I’ve read

that instant coffee has more fiber then any other method of brewing coffee, maybe that is why they liked it.
If you ever make a smoothy you can throw in a teaspoon of instant coffee in the blender & blend it up with the other ingredients. It adds a little flavor as well as caffeine to your smoothy. I learned that watching one of those vita-mix demonstrations at Costco.
