Years ago, I was taught that to qualify as a "business" per the IRS


you have to show a profit in 3 out of every 5 years. If you aren't showing a profit, then what you have is a hobby, not a business. But I learned that 20+ years ago, so might not be the way things work anymore.

Nowhere close to showing a profit yet.
