I have no problem with 12-month schools OR kids going back

in Aug if the schools are air conditioned. I'm not a fan of the 12-month program, especially if it's done BECAUSE of the air conditioning. Kids need time to be kids. One of the reasons the school year keeps getting longer is because too many teacher work days are built in. Most of the time these consist of useless and boring programs that are a real waste of time.
I'll just let it go at that. I probably see things differently. My degree is actually in education.
