Spent part of my summer there.

In my 18 years going there, I've never had an issue with a gator.

I bet someone had been feeding it though. I've seen a couple of gators swimming toward people as they are standing on the shore of ponds in Shipyard Plantation there. Looked like they were trying to feed the turtles...
