Mother, baby and son are sheltering at the Naval medical center at Camp Lejeune. They have relatively luxurious accommodations in a newborn suite.

The baby boy is healthy and hungry.

The tidal creek near the facility has stayed mostly in it's place. Their cars are still "dry".

Many sailors are currently living in the lobby.

Many base pets are also living in the facility.

Power went out last night and they are on generator.

They are still worried about how their rental house weathered the storm. It's located on a "knoll" a few hundred yards from Queen Creek near Swansboro. Early reports were that some houses in the neighborhood were taking water, but their house is "above" most of the others. So hopefully, the surge has stayed away. They won't know for some time.
