Yep, all that sand is covering road. Oak Island had similar year before


in the storm that caused all the flooding "down east". Road was covered with a foot of sand. They did a great job of pushing it back into dunes and replanting grasses. Hard to fight Mother Nature. Hopefully they can do similar. Some of those homes are going to be condemned and lots are probably not rebuildable.
