Have any of you eradicated ants before?

I’m trying to get rid of these things and don’t care how it happens short of going the Carl Spackler way of doing it.

Supposedly these baits I bought are a slow poison that allows the ants to go back deep in their nest and die, therefore becoming food for the other ants and hopefully getting the Queen Ant.

It’s a slow process and seems the little buggers just move somewhere else.

You guys have any tried and true solutions? All lounge answers appreciated.

TIA
