His Mom abused him. Rodney Dangerfield was also abused.

Both Chevy and Rodney were impacted by abusive Mom's. It affected Chevy a little different than Rodney. Chevy is not afraid to say what he is thinking and not afraid to offend people. He was abused by his Mom and obviously this caused him to be very angry. Rodney on the other hand seemed to have a deep sadness not anger about the lack of love he received from his Mom. Rodney needed laughs to ease the pain of his Mom not loving him.

Both situations are so sad and despicable. Moms and Dads are so important to the well being of children.
