As usual you can count on very helpful advice from the lounge

now for my serious answer,

After trying for one year to control the weed and fertilize the lawn myself, i just called a pro lawn care company.

Fairway Lawn, TrueGreen, etc... It's 40 bucks a treatment (but I have a small lawn), and it's actually cheaper than my trying to do it myself after buying multiple bags of weed killers, fertilizer, and stuff. The treatment is every 6 weeks and the homes that use the service here have amazing lawns.
