My grandfather JRR '33 married a wee lass by the name of Seay. If I was to ever get "the book" returned, about that side of the family, I'd say which generation American she is, or the past family history.
VERY COOL story: My wife's cousin was marrying a "guy". We arrived, got to the pre-hitchin' dinner and found our seats. Curiously, I began studying the the name tags around the tables. I found our names, also, I noticed a tag which named a Seay, hmm. A couple of questions later I found out the groom's grandmother was the Seay. Well, my grandmother is also a Seay. I enjoyed and discussed this with members of the party, but didn't get far.
Shortly after, a, not so, distant cousin had constructed a family history, which we received a copy. It just so happened, Seay's came to the New World, splitting into 2 legs, one in Buckingham, VA(the groom is my cousin!) and the other in Northern NC.
I happened to have the book, on our not too distant trip back out East and lent it to my now cousin's mother. I haven't seen it since.
I'm not sure of the specifics, but my grandmother found my grandfather, before he graduated VPI. Yeah, unfortunately, my family doesn't talk much, so that's pretty much where that story ends, for now, but one day I will regain the family history book, I loaned his mother, and study it for myself.
