Well, heck you've done the route a thousand times..

you should know it by heart!

Done that a few times, "Well, I'll just use my windshield wiper fluid" Works, except 15 seconds later you watch ice crystals form along the streaks left by the windshield wiper and you're thinking comon' sun! (and the engine to warm up enough to start directing heat to the heater)
