CBS for last decade or so has been aimed at older linear TV viewers

My mom for example. CBS hardly breaks new stars, the just recycle older actors who gained recognition somewhere else. Add to that recycle older shows to feed off nostalgia. You know "I don't like change crowd."
CBS is a for profit corporation. Creativity only matters in terms of financial results. If it, or any other media corporation, could rake in $100 of millions in profits showing a dog sleeping it would.
