Yep, yep and yep. I graduated HS in '74 and that was sort of the other...


side of Vienna for me so probably lost touch then, although I did work at the Post Office one summer making $8/hr when everyone else was getting $2.10. Just reading Wiki, it was saying they pretty much sold all of JITBs by the end of the decade so yeah, not too precise but our collective memories match up.

Years later worked in Hawaii on business, ate at a few JITB for old times sake, though remember having a burger and not tacos. Surprised the drive-in lasted that long but probably lasted until someone bought the land for a price that couldn't be refused.


While I'm going down memory lane there was a little British sports car shop just around the corner from the JITB BAP/Geon (British Auto Parts) run by a friend of mine's father...so he worked there a lot. I had an old Triumph and he had a Triumph Herald and I would guess he was one of the very few people in the country that had one.


I used to know that area like the back of my hand.
