That's actually not true. All Passports were Rodeos.


Sadly, that's probably part of the reason they didn't get made longer. As much as I love Isuzu trucks, they had some issues, such as oil consumption and weak transmissions with no dipstick. Lots of folks didn't stay on top of oil levels or fluid changes, and blew up motors and transmissions. But man, they are capable vehicles. Some of the stuff they were doing with the Troopers, with the "Torque On Demand" system (which adjusted the output of power between the front and rear axles of 4WD-equipped vehicles), was really kind of cutting edge.

I'm going to nurse my Rodeo along for as long as I can. It's been a great vehicle.
